Fashion Show Raises Thousands for New Life Charity
I was honoured and excited to be the lead hair stylist and makeup artist for a charity fashion show hosted annually for New Life; a charity supporting both disabled children and children at the end of their life.
The glittering event was held at The New Connaught Rooms in London, and show cased some gorgeous end of season stock from labels including Vivienne Westwood, Jimmy Choo, Kate Spade and Biba, as well as numerous high street labels. After the show guests were invited to attend the sale of the stock, all of which is sold at crazy discounted rates in order to raise money for this amazing charity.
It was so much fun to be able to be creative and have fun with both the hair and makeup. Being able to use 'Peacock Feather' lashes and white eyeliner is something that I don't get to use on my more day to day looks for glamour, boudoir and wedding events. It was also lovely to meet up with some old work colleagues from Zibrant and BCD (the Events Agency who provided the production and event support).
Back stage was frantic but in a good way. The energy levels were high and the models all looked great, and really rocked their 'cray cray' makeup and hair styles. I finished the evening by supporting the charity and making a few purchases of my own, including some gorgeous Biba belts and bag, sequinned jacket and gold boots, all bought selflessly to support the charity you understand!
