Why I'm definitely a Scummy Mummy!
Last week I had the honour of working as part of the 'Glam Squad' helping comedy duo Ellie Gibson and Helen Thorn, aka 'The Scummy Mummies' get ready for their red carpet interviews at the National Television Awards.
The day started the night before when I drove down to Winchester to have a much needed catch up and obligatory glass of fizz with the gorgeous Donna (SulkyDoll Styling). The drive up the next day was a fab road trip as we were joined by SJ Froom, International Makeup Artist for Bare Minerals, celebrity MUA and my amazing mentor. Much of the journey was spent discussing diets, fashion, makeup and work and once on site we were joined by my fellow DFMA alumni Elena Openshaw. I worked as hair stylist alongside SJ who was doing makeup on behalf of Bare Minerals. Ellie and Helen were channeling their inner divas in the form of Dynasty legends; Alexis Colby and Krystle Carrington,
I found a great vintage gold lame turban for Ellie which went brilliantly with her gold lame bodysuit, and for Helen we went for 'Big Hair, Don't Care' which I finished off with lashings of UV glitter hairspray. If you haven't yet seen the Scummy Mummies on tour please do so, they are laugh out loud funny and are due to appear at numerous gigs this year, including London, Winchester, Dorset and Reading.
